America Loves Scotty!!!!

Like most Americans,  American Idol has become one of my favorite shows on T.V and I couldn't be more glad that the show is going strong, unlike most that last for a season or two and then production stops. In my personal opinion, having watched a couple of seasons I must say that the talent in Season 10 was nothing compared to any America has seen. I knew from the start that it was gonna be a tough call but I still placed my bets on Pia Tascano, unfortunately she didn't make it to the final. Pia was good and everyone knew it, but guess what, the results not only depended on the judges but on votes cast by the general public. Yeah!! I didn't vote for Pia the night before her eviction and I felt really bad about it. I was all tears as though I just lost something I could never replace (you didn't read that).

On to something better. I must introduce you to the top 13 contestants America chose..they were, Ashthon Jones, 25yrs old, Casey Abrams, 20yrs old, Haley Reinhart, 20yrs old, Jacob Lusk, 23yrs old, James Durbin, 22yrs old, Karen Rodriguez, 21yrs old, Lauren Alaina, 16yrs old, Naima Adedapo, 26yrs old, Paul Macdonald, 26yrs old, Pia Tascano, 22yrs old, Scotty Mccreery, 17yrs old, Stefano Langone, 22yrs old and the youngest contestant of the season Thia Megia, 16yrs old (younger than Lauren).

Ashthon Jones was the all American Diva whose aspiration was to be the Diana Ross of her time, honestly she was good and could bring the house down in her element but America was looking for more than just a "voice", everyone in this group had that. She was voted off on March 10th. Casey Abrams on the other hand was the cool but not so cool kid. He seemed to have loosened up by the end of the season. Man this dude could sing, believe me, what else could have made the judges save him when he was first voted off then? However I still thought the judges used their one save of the season too early, that should have been for Pia, James or even Jacob. Next on my list is Haley Reinhart, who started off slow and made it all the way to the top 3. I would say she was the "shocker" of the season. She had this coarse voice underneath all the shyness but when she opened up, oh my she did Adele, slayed Gaga and rocked us with duets sung with Casey. Way to go Hayley! Jacob "Luther" Lusk, yep, that was him. I find it hard to describe Jacob's talent, maybe because I just can't find the right words. He was Awesome. I cannot count the number of times Randy called Jacob's performance the best of all time in Idol history, and I couldn't agree less. Hopefully YouTube still has his performance of "God bless the Child" so you can judge for yourself. Never will I forget his face and emotion as he sang one of my favorite songs, Dance with my father Again. Jacob would have made a fine American Idol. Who's next, who's next??? James Durbin! Rocker no doubt. I fell in love with rock all over again. I couldn't catch myself, I fell like a leaf, thanks to James *raises glass*. At one point I thought he was just gonna win it all but the choice was America's to make and how could they, I mean this was JAMES, c'mmon America! His inspiration was his girlfriend and child, and every time he got on that stage he left everything he had on there. It was pure entertainment making me sometimes forget that he wasn't a professional. I can't say which of his performances was my favorite because they were all WOW! but every time I hear "closer to the edge" by 60seconds to Mars I remember James.
Cant believe I'm only through with 6 contestants..kinda tired but I should finish this so how about we just pause..

To Be CONT.......later today, hopefully :)
